Those casino players who follow the news on online gambling in Nevada and New Jersey are actually more interested in the news from New Jersey. It is so because it is alreadyknown that only online poker is going to be legalized in Nevada. At the same time the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement is acting really fast and it will not take long before the online gambling regulations’ preliminary draft would be ready. As for the final draft it would be duplicated public comment on the third of June. But there is no certain date when the online gambling gets legal in New Jersey. Still, the progress the regulatory authority has reached is really high and most of the analytics are expecting the estimate to be met in December 2024. According to the Division of Gaming Enforcement’s Director David Rebuck he is going to name the date when the casinos would be able to start taking bets made online at least forty five days in advance.
David Rebuck also said when he was announcing the release of the preliminary draft that he was pleased that once again New Jersey has taken its place in the forefront of casino gaming. All the casino games have the online gambling regulations by now. The prevalent gambling regulations were studied and according to Rebuck the best of the regulations from different gambling jurisdictions was adopted in New Jersey. He pointed out Denmark, Spain, France, Alderney and Nevada. The standards set by the USA Federal Reserve were also studied carefully and the practices recommended by the National Council on Problem Gambling were studied as well.
The primary draft takes seventy seven pages and the interested players can find it at the New Jersey government official web-site. The highly important areas such as the age of applicant online casino players are included to the document, as well as the steps taken that the gambling would stay within the state borders and the problem gambling would not be allowed. Among the proposals is also the one assuming that the initial deposit would be two and a half thousand dollars and after the total life time deposits of a player reach this figure he would not be able to make any bets till he acknowledges that he has reached the two and a half thousand dollars threshold. This way the players would be stimulated to set the limits they can spend gambling per day if they do not want to close their accounts. The compacts with other states that would legalize the online gambling will be allowed too in order to make online poker more variable. The sum of four hundred thousand dollars as well as the annual fee of 250,000 dollars will need to be paid by the licensees in order to create resources to tackle problem gambling.
The interested players can find all the rules published on the third of June in the New Jersey Register. After this there would be sixty days of comment period. The final regulations would be released after the regulators have reviewed and responded to the comments made within the comment period.
